Annoying Villagers - Original Minecraft Animated Series by MrFudgeMonkeyz[1] (2013 -), or simply known as Annoying Villagers (abbreviated as AV) is an ongoing original comedy-action based YouTube animation series, based on the bestselling sandbox game Minecraft. The series was created by the Canadian animator MrFudgeMonkeyz who credits it as one of his main animations and shows done on his channel. All of the male voice-acting, story-boarding, and animation are solely done and directed by MrFudgeMonkeyz alone (Sometimes with texture/modeling assistant from others). The show is among the longest running Minecraft series still going strong, having 65 episodes and has been ongoing for over 9 years.

The series was at first, partly inspired and depicted by the iconic in-game characters from Minecraft (Villagers, Steve, Herobrine, etc.), though this ramifies very quickly. As the plot continues to follow the leads of Minecraft logistics, it also sees the implementation of other extensive references. The series starts off completely with comedic relief and no plot, but manages to develop over time with incredible speed, focusing across multiple storylines and even developing a more action orientated plot.

Though the series is inspired and based on Minecraft, it uses personalities and humor from characters, along with fast-paced dynamic action scenes, to help influence the plot. The series stays in check with Minecraft updates such as Village and PillageUpdate Aquatic, Nether Update, and Caves and Cliffs. In addition, MrFudgeMonkeyz enhances the animation by adding multitudinous new items and more vast context of Minecraft with its lore.
