Annoying Villagers 55 - Minecraft Animation, titled A Bitter Taste is the fifty-fifth episode of Annoying Villagers. The episode is published on February 6, 2021 with the trailer released one day prior on February 5, 2021.
Overview[]
The Illager King sets his foot on the Resistance Desert Camp and battles against the Herobrine Vessels, as he remembers the time when he recounted his backstory to his fellow Illagers.
Meanwhile, Blue Demon's plan goes smoothly as both the king and the two major vessels are in the same place, as Steve observed the chaos from Entity's Realm.
Plot[]
The episode starts out with the Illager King galloping his horse deeper into the city, scoring many kills on Herobrine Vessels using his axe. Meanwhile in the outside, Mr.Colder struggles to fight several skilled vessels. He lets out an annoyed sigh, then says that he can't let the vessels pass. Then in the vessel realm, Herobrine explains that some vessels are already useful due to their past experiences, but adds that some are resisting and will take more time to adjust. Glaive Herobrine suggests to just use them as combat data gatherers, but Aegis Herobrine declines, stating that they have to be lured away so the current primary vessel has enough time to regenerate as they are already wasted many energy.
Illager King, who has killed several vessels, mounts on his horse as more vessels come. He then remembers the time when he was telling his backstory to younger Illagers. They inquired about his intents and history, and so the King began narrating his backstory, starting with the White Divine Llama appearing in random places greeting many pillagers. The llama told them to gather their strongest and bravest warriors who are willing to sacrifice everything, then informed that a tournament will be held, and the winner would get a gift for the Gods. After telling the invitation, the llama disappeared in an echoing laugh.
It was nighttime, when a group of wounded pillagers gather in front of a campsite within their campfire, appearing to have suffered an attack. They discussed about their plans to join the tournament. The soon-to-be Illager King thought that they should join the tournament, as if they won, the other tribes would fear them and stop attacking them, but one crossbowman pillager questioned this, as there were too many unknowns and that he had a bad feeling about the tournament. But then the soon-to-be Illager King's brother defended his brother, reminding the crossbowman pillager that their tribe is the weakest one around, and argued that joining the tournament was better than getting annihilated by other pillagers. The crossbowman pillager was still firm with his decision, arguing that they could survive if they hid. But then the leader stood up, willingly participating in the tournament for the sake of his tribemates. He then left the village, leaving the other pillagers stunned.
The next day, all the pillagers gather in a meeting area of sorts. The White Event Llama began to speak a monologue, but was then followed by his warn that only one victor could come back, causing the pillagers to frighten upon hearing this. The soon-to-be Illager King's tribe leader walked forward to join the tournament, but soon stopped a bit when the other pillagers, the soon-to-be Illager King included, declared that they would support him to the bitter end. The llama was fascinated at this, and assured that their bravery would be rewarded. They were then transported into a floating island in a different realm. The soon-to-be Illager King begin to speak, much to his brother's fascination. The Two-Sided Horse then greeted them and welcomed them into the Adventure Realm.
After some time the pillagers join the tournament in the middle of a deserted arena with other player participants around. However the game was proven to be very chaotic and had killed many of the pillagers, leaving the soon-to-be Illager King and his brother. As they were running frantically, they were blasted presumably by a Redstone Robot, sending them high to the air and landed on the sandy ground hard. The soon-to-be Illager King managed to survive, but unfortunately his brother didn't. In his brink of death, he told his brother to run and not to look back, He died in a puff of smoke, leaving the soon-to-be Illager King as the last pillager remaining. He witnessed the other remaining participants being mercilessly crushed by Redstone Robots. The king dropped to his knees out of despair, but his axe suddenly turned red and drove him back, telling him to live. Confused, the soon-to-be Illager King thought the axe was his brother. Meanwhile the Redstone Robot found the one last remaining player and soon killed her. The soon-to-be Illager King stood up, and the Two-Sided Horse suddenly appeared before him, congratulating him as the victor. Out of confusion, the pillager asked why he was the only survivor. The horse was unsure of this, and then the horse gifted him a chest, of which opened and transported the soon-to-be Illager King back to the Overworld.
Back at the overworld, in the same meeting area, the White Event Llama presented the champion pillager to numerous new pillagers the pillager never seen before. The soon-to-be Illager King had also gained glowing blue eyes. He then sat down on the bridge with his axe, thinking about the whole new experience that had happened to him. Soon he turned to his side, seeing numerous pillagers bowed before him out of fear, afraid of his new powers, and they began worshiping him as the king, thus uniting all pillagers into one, although some were still in opposition.
After some time, the Illager Forces began getting organized and the new Illager King sat inside their new base, telling his axe, which he thought as his brother, that he had fulfilled his wishes and made sure his sacrifice wasn't fruitless. The axe finally glowed red and talked again, telling him to do more. Then the king told the younger Illagers that he now wished to unify the world, and for such goal to be reached, he believed would require another miracle. The younger Illagers questioned more about the Adventure Realm, but the King said that even himself could barely comprehend it, and told them that they must exterminate any demons who pose a threat, as it would disastrous if they got the miracle from the Gods, finally ending his speech by declaring that he would become the winner if the Second Tournament of the Gods started.
Back at the present, Blue Demon, hiding behind a ruined building, observes the Illager King, Swordsman Herobrine, and Herobrine Greg searching for him throughout the camp. Mr. Oinkers then tells him that he has placed down all tridents underground "strategically". Without wasting much time, Blue Demon performs his Trident Festival move, causing a row of tridents to erupt out of grounds and head towards the two vessels. Meanwhile Herobrine Flanker is fighting with Lt. Scott, until they sense a huge explosion that stagger them a bit. The vessels suddenly stop fighting and run towards the source of explosion. Lt. Scott and Hackerterminator are confused while Exterminator pursues them. Meanwhile, the two vessels who fought X_Grave_X and his squad also retreat. The squad is confused, and Grave notices that they are headed back to the city. The same also happens to the vessels Mr.Colder fought.
Meanwhile in the desert city. The majority of the camp has been decimated, leaving the ruins of what used to be a huge city. Amongst the ruins, lie a floating cluster of crying obsidian blocks and poles, with Swordsman Herobrine gravely wounded in it, his sword shattered into unusable pieces. Unfortunately Herobrine Greg died from the explosion, leaving his armor lying on the ground. Blue Demon appears to be paralyzed in the same pose, his body scorched and his glow diminished, squatting lifeless among the ruins. The Illager King manages to survive the blast and is airlifted by two vexes. He observes Swordsman Herobrine who still survives the blast. He also can't find where Blue Demon is, and assumes that he has died. He then lands on the ground, prepared to destroy Swordsman Herobrine once and for all. He tells the vexes to hide before they vanish. He thrusts his axe forward, which sends Swordsman Herobrine out from the obsidian cluster and buries him in sands.
Suddenly several vessels attack the king, but using his dexterity, speed, and communication with Red-Steel Axe and Silver Axe, he manages to defeat them and once more strikes Swordsman with his axe thrust. Meanwhile BBQ Sauce revives Blue Demon with a bunch of tridents, and somewhere else, Mr. Oinkers and the rest of the Sauce Squad intercept a group of vessels who tries to aid Swordman. Back at the ruins, Illager King defeats Swordsman and knocks him over the ground. More vessels appear and about to attack him, but soon the Blue Demon, now alive, tells the king to finish Swordsman off before he becomes stronger. Illager King is unsure of this, but the vessels tell them that they have only just begun, before the Warden suddenly appears behind the fallen Swordsman Herobrine and roars unnaturally. Out of reflex, Illager King propels away from the abomination. The warden then engulfs Swordsman Herobrine in its chest, to Illager King's shock, and it teleports away, causing all vessels to lose connection and pass out, leaving the Illager King confused and Blue Demon disappointed as all his plans failed. From Entity's realm. Entity303 and Steve watch all the chaos unfold. Entity asks Steve has he decided. Confidently, Steve states that he will do it.
