Editing
Here on the Annoying Villagers Wiki, us Fandom users are a small community that makes minor contributions to large contributions. Every edit helps the Wiki grow in popularity and SEO. All edits are to be in a professional encyclopaedic formatting which is easy to read and navigate for viewers on a daily basis.
To maintain this order, here are a few basic tips and information to help you with your writing:
- From the top ‘Toolbar’ on your editing screen, ensure your edits are organized properly with the correct paragraphing. Your information should be presented with ‘Headings’, ‘Sub-Headings’, and ‘Paragraph’ formatting.
- Make sure the information you put is factual. Don’t put assumptions or theories when writing on pages. They have to be factual, not stuff from your own perspective. For example:“Reaper Herobrine’s staff is presumably healing the Ender Dragon” or “Herobrine then probably went off to infect more Players”
- Your sentences shouldn’t be opinions. That is, your descriptions and text shouldn’t be opinionated or expressive. For example, don’t write things such as: “They are rather dumb” or “He carries a baby consciousness.” They have to be proven and have evidence behind them to make it clear to the reader what you mean.
- Read over your work. Please check your grammar, punctuation and spelling before publishing your writing. This is a vital part of what makes a good page, as readers won’t like reading an unprofessional and messy page. Make sure the paragraphs are brief but gives the reader the general idea they need.
Rules
Annoying Villagers is a family friendly series in which it is PG13. As such, the Annoying Villagers Wiki is regulated and moderated to a degree of which it is appropriate for many audiences.
Edits
Break these rules and you shall be harvested just like the Players. Your ban from the Wiki will depend on our decision based on your actions.
- No vandalism of pages. This includes removing text, writing nonsensical gibberish and anything that is deemed inappropriate to breaking Fandom’s rules & guidelines.
- No inclusion of other content unless it’s references and information related to Annoying Villagers
Discussions
Fail to follow these rules, and you must be corrected (in the almighty words of Swordsman Herobrine).
- No political discussions or any controversial topics that will promote hate. All content is to be Annoying Villagers related. Off-topic discussions should be put in "Off-Topic" category.
- Mild language only. No swearing or curses.
- No promotion of any other sources besides Annoying Villagers content.
Warnings/Bans
- How long you are banned from commenting and discussions depends on a number of factors decided by Moderators and Fandom users of above status.
Users who caused problems to articles will have following consequences below.
- 1st time. Banned for 2 weeks.
- 2nd time. Banned for 6 months.
- 3rd time. Banned for 1 year
- More than three times. Banned indefinitely and eternity.
