Blue Demon, known by the zombies as the Drowned Zombie God or simply the Drowned is a powerful Drowned Zombie mob in Annoying Villagers, leader of Blue Demon's Rebellion. While he was first introduced in Annoying Villagers 33 and has since become a major character in the series.
Formerly a member of the Herobrine Forces, he was originally a zombie, advancing to a Red-Shirt Zombie, and finally undergoing a transformation that sees him turn into the first successful and most powerful Drowned Zombie in Minecraft. Quintessential, harshly veracious, and rational, his character progresses from an antagonist to an anti-hero. He fights as a monster to show the selfishness of others and against the ideals in the world. Seeing a potential in Steve, he decides to train and tell him that if anything were to happen to him, he'd like him to pick off where he'd left. After his reawakening, however, Blue Demon decided to desert him and continue his skirmishes against Herobrine with his team.
He is voiced by MrFudgeMonkeyz, alike to all male characters in the series.
Appearance
Blue Demon shares a near-identical appearance with other drowned zombies, bearing a blue skin tone and a brown, tattered clothing. He has bright glowing eyes with a nose and mouth, giving the aspect that the two facial features are combined, as well as an array of blue and green parts throughout his body with bioluminescent effects. He is usually expressionless; and has a fixated mouth which one might find questionable if what his emotions are.
He is identified by his bright, glowing Prismarine Chestplate gifted to him by Mustard, with its pixels never ceasing to alternate different shades of glimmering blue. Over the course of the episodes, Blue Demon is shown to consistently carry a trident in either or both hands.
Before he became a drowned, he was a veteran zombie with a red shirt and had green skin as well as indigo trousers. When he was first born, he had a turquoise shirt like other zombies instead of red.

Blue Demon is highly serious, aggressive and skilled in combat. He is an intelligent creature, quintessential, with excellent physique and his ulterior motives cannot be questioned nor argued against.
Although he is extremely powerful, harsh and enigmatic, he doesn’t have a wicked personality nor evil motives; His goal is for the survival of the 'World'. He even shows respect to his enemies after defeating/killing them. He believes that to achieve the survival of Minecraft the only option is to slay Villagers, Mobs, and Players alike, not in a vain attempt, but to restore Minecraft.
In one of Dinnerbone's Past observations, Blue Demon is shown to have a completely different ideals and motives. Blue Demon used to believe that every life is important and thus, would do anything to protect the weak similar to Chris, which is the reason why he betrayed Herobrine Forces.
Skills and Abilities

Blue Demon is an extremely powerful creature, so powerful he is claimed as a God. Armed with a large arsenal of tridents, he is able to command lightning and blast his adversaries.
An extremely skilled and competent fighter, Blue Demon excels in both melee or ranged combat. His cunning battle tactics makes him very hard to be taken down. He always takes time and holds back to figure out the weakness of his enemies, which is supported by his amazing durability and endurance. Aside from this, he can throw his tridents with great speed and precision, as well as able to wield a giant blade with little difficulty. His power level was truly seen against the veteran player Steve, two skilled players Mr.Colder and Enchanter, and many Herobrine Vessels attacking him at once.

Blue Demon's true power comes from his electrokinesis ability, which allows him to generate electricity to be weaponized in combat. He manipulates this energy in a wide variety of ways, such as imbuing his weapons with lightning, unleashing lightning bolts, creating huge electrical explosion, and dashing short distances. One of his battle tactics lies in his ability to store lightning energy in his tridents, which can be used as energy reserves or dangerous electric mines if planted on the ground. He can also redirect and absorb lightning to empower himself and his own attacks, as seen in his battle against an Ender Dragon, and his trident festival is used to weaken Swordman in the battle on the resistance camp.
Though rarely seen without his tridents, Blue Demon is also proven to be a skilled unarmed combatant, able to easily throw Steve over his shoulder with just one hand. From his experience as an elite zombie, the drowned possesses a stalwart commanding skills, which is used to lead his ragtag group of animals.
Blue Demon's quick reflexes allows him to easily dodge and deflect arrows and attacks from the likes of Pillagers and Herobrine Vessels. He is also an acrobatic combatant with the knowledge to perform basic stunts such as flips with ease. In addition, he is agile, can run quickly, and jump in great heights and distances. He possesses Thermal Vision, which allows him to see perfectly even if complete darkness, and can presumably turn it off at will.
Techniques
- Electrify: Blue Demon shoots lightning through the use of two tridents to paralyze his foe. Another version features him enveloping himself in glowing white-light and generates a tremendous amount of electricity, sending his opponent flying backward him when an opponent is about to land a blow on him.
- Trident Festival: All nearby tridents become charged at once, then point and launch at the selected target or stay at place, causing a massive electrical explosion.
- Electric Field: Blue Demon summons an electric field, which effectively stuns and electrocutes enemies in an area, giving him a chance to strike. This technique is used in conjunction with the Legendary Sword.
- Lightning Kick: Blue Demon coats his body in lightning and kicks his foe down, dealing substantial damage.
Arsenals
- Tridents: Blue Demon's primary weapon, it is surged with electricity and can be used as a melee or ranged weapon. He has a large supply of tridents, though it hasn't been confirmed if he has unlimited amount of it. He can imbue his lightning into the tridents upon contact. Lightning-imbued tridents can heal him upon contact and be discharged to either create lightning blasts or electrocute anyone within their vicinity.
- Legendary Sword: Blue Demon acquires (or steals) this weapon from Steve. He uses it once in his battle against four Herobrine vessels, though he can't use it in full potential since the sword rejects him. After some time and persuasion, the Legendary Sword finally accepts Blue Demon as its wielder, allowing him to harness the power of the giant sword.
Relationships
Mustard
Being one of his trainers, Blue Demon built a strong relationship with him especially after both of them betrayed Herobrine. While at first, Blue Demon was irked with his presence, later, Blue Demon developed a respect to him and even thanked him for all the teachings he had given.
Herobrine
Blue Demon was saved by Herobrine and worked for him as a special soldier. But when he realized Herobrine was just using him as a tool, he betrayed Herobrine and went to live his own life
BBQ Sauce
Blue Demon met BBQ Sauce after he killed Herobrine 7. BBQ Sauce told Blue Demon many things about friendship, and they become allies afterwards. Even though Blue Demon is sometimes visibly annoyed by BBQ's chatty and goofy attitude, the two are still close allies in the end.
Steve
Blue Demon saved Steve from Grave and two Villager Knights. Now he wants to make Steve into the Perfect Warrior and to do that he will even fight Steve to teach him a "lesson".
Illager King
Blue Demon and Illager King seemed to have had a peace treaty, but the Blue Demon tricked the ruler many times. Eventually, after the drowned broke the treaty and slaughtered his people, the King abandoned the treaty. Now he assumes as the considered "arch-nemesis" of the Drowned, so much that he blatantly desires to crush his dreams into ashes.
Mr. Oinkers
Blue Demon promised to deliver "paradise" to Mr.Oinkers after he helped the Drowned to destroy the Resistance Desert Camp, showing their close promises.
Trivia
- Blue Demon probably has an unlimited amount of tridents.
- However, this is debatable as in Annoying Villagers 44, Mustard told Blue Demon to harvest as many tridents as he can.
- It is unknown how his chestplate became enchanted.
- Blue Demon makes a cameo in Naru-Steve
Note the middle figure
- While it's unconfirmed, it is very likely that Blue Demon was part of the United Mob Association.
- In the shot where the three highest ranked of the faction were shown, a silhouette bearing glowing eyes and mouth as well as wielding a trident can be seen in the middle, who has a very reminiscent look of Blue Demon, thus leading the speculation that Blue Demon was the highest ranked mob in the faction.
- In Annoying Villagers 54, the Illager King mentions that Blue Demon has betrayed the United Mob Association. This indicates that the figure in the image is indeed Blue Demon before he betrayed the faction.
