Hoglins are a species in Annoying Villagers series indigenous to the Nether. They are part of the Nether Forces that help protect their homeland from invaders.

Overview

Hoglins have a wrathog-like appearance, bearing a pale pink skin with a black mohawk on their back. Their face features two, pupiless glowing eyes and a pair of white, straight tusk used for offensive purposes.

Hoglins are aggressive towards players and will make strange noises when attacking. Strangely, they seem to not fear warped fungi and instead fears soul fire.

Biography

A Hoglin made its debut in Annoying Villagers 45, standing among a group of Endermen who were building a Warped Forest. Later in the fortress, one was seen chasing at a player. The player ran away then placed a block and ignited it, causing a blue flame to emerge that sent the Hoglin running the other way in fear.

Trivia

• Unlike in Minecraft Hoglins do not seem to have a fear towards Warped Fungi, as they appear to be calm in the Warped Forest.
  • Instead, they fear Soul Fire, something that supposedly scared Piglins instead.
  • These are very likely to be an error MrFudgeMonkeyz made, though this may be an interpretation that Annoying Villagers is different compared to normal Minecraft.
  • Alternatively, they have been bred in bastion remnants by the piglins to share the piglins' fears and lose their original fears.
