The Legendary Sword is so far the most powerful sword in the series, of which only true warriors of peace such as Steve, Chris, and recently Blue Demon wield this weapon. Steve's aspects also used copies of it in the dream world.
Overview[]
The Legendary Sword is a colossal sword with a wooden handle and a disproportionately large, curved diamond blade. It has a light blue enchantment glint overlay, which will turn into a reddened shade when it rejects it's wielder. As described by the Blue Demon, it is made out of pure enchanted diamonds, highest of quality and no negative status effect can be applied to its user, even his electricity. Steve had described that the sword has been blessed with countless enchantments, causing a massive strain on the wielder's body, thus he was told to never use the sword unless it was absolutely necessary or if he wished to settle fights quickly. It is likely conscious, as it is able to reject Blue Demon as its user.
Usage and Abilities[]
The Legendary Sword has been shown to be blessed with various enchantments listed belown.
- Sharpness X - This enchantment gives the sword a significantly large amount of damage, enhancing it's power altogether and making it the best weapon for quick fights executions.
- Smite VIII - This enchantment increases the damage dealt to undead mobs including zombies and skeletons.
- Knockback IX - Almost every blow inflincted from the weapon can knock foes back very far.
- Unbreaking VII - This makes the sword increase it's durability, making it to long-lasting at any tough situations.
- Mending V - The sword can repair itself with each experience point collected.
- Energy IV - The sword can give the user an energy boost, however it will start doing the exact opposite and begin exhausting the wielder if it's out for too long.
- Heavy Attack V - The sword can deal heavy blows on enemies, leaving them brutally injured. It can also turn yellow and obtain energy sparks for a short amount of time to increase the damage but it will disenchant the sword temporarily.
- Arrow Deflection VII - This enchantment allows the sword to easily deflect arrows, making it the perfect counter against archers.
- Protection X - This sword can easily protect it's wielder from attacks due to it's large size and high durability.
- Quickdraw X - This enchantment allows the sword to be quickly drawn out for an immediate attack.
- Possession X - This enchantment can only allow certain people to use the sword at it's fullest potential.
- Holy Blessing X - This enchantment means the sword has been blessed by Notch, the original creator of Minecraft.
- Experience 3230 - The sword has had a lot of combat experience due to being in Steve's possession for a long time.
- Learning 547 - This sword can learn from experiences and encounters apparently.
- UNKNOWN ### - The function of this enchantment is unknown.
- Error 785A - The function of this enchantment is unknown.
In addition to the effects of those enchantments, the sword has the ability to protect the user and to negate any negative status effect, even Blue Demon's Electrify. The sword is also able to shatter and destroy armor when swung, even annihilating the diamond armor found on Advanced Zombies. However, the sword has a drawback: it can exhaust the wielder if used for too long, presumably due to the sword's weight and powerful enchantments/abilities. There are also two other new abilities as seen used by Angry Steve. It can do "Wake Up" which can obliterate Obsidian with ease. It can also glow yellow and emit a small amount of sparks of energy to increase damage output on the enemy, but this will temporarily disenchant the sword.
Lore[]
Notch gave Steve, Chris and Greg this sword to defend good from evil, and had made an appearance in almost all episodes that Steve has fought in. After Steve's apparent death in Annoying Villagers 40, he lost the sword and was acquired by Blue Demon. He used it once in his fight against Herobrine Greg, Swordsman Herobrine, Netherite Herobrine, Dark Herobrine, and Herobrine Aside, but the sword rejected him.

Trivia[]
- Despite its first two enchantments (Sharpness and Smite), it doesn't one-shot the Blue Demon.
- This could be because Steve was too exhausted at the time and thus couldn't use the sword at maximum potential.
- It is currently wielded by Blue Demon after Steve’s death and resurrection.
- The Legendary Sword currently holds the record of being the largest sword ever seen in the series.
- Angry Steve had the sword in Steve's Mind Aspects, but it is still under Blue Demon's possession in the overworld.
