Piglins in Annoying Villagers series, are an aggressive species of mobs residing in the Nether. They resemble a humanoid and pig-with-tusk form, and are one of the many creatures brought from the Minecraft Updates that have drastically changed. All piglins in the series are affiliated in the Nether Forces together with other nether mobs such as Hoglins and Endermen.
Overview[]
Appearance[]
As their name suggests, Piglins are humanoid and warthog-like individuals. The have floppy rectangular ears, a elongated nose with miniature tusks, black hooves, and abnormally bright glowing eyes. Typical piglin warriors don half-sets of golden or netherite armor, with scruffy leather shirts, a golden belt, and pants. Their main choice of a signature weapon seems to be long iron weaponry, consisting of normal halberds and twin-blade ones. As such, this gives them the depiction of exotic item-holders vast from frontiers suitable to their nature.
Behavior[]
Piglins seemingly retain their animal-like physiology, clambering up Nether Fortresses in bodily ways and launching themselves forth at enemies in a wild way. They have a unique movement style, walking forwards in a boisterous manner. They walk energetically and constantly with their body bobbing from side to side, with their arms and legs moving to and fro. They let out a gruesome roars and grunt to each other.
In relation to this, Piglins have a very hostile persona. They are shown to be forceful attackers rushing towards Players invading their homeland, of which they also stated themselves to be aggravated about. It's clear that they are brutes who are not to be messed with, gathering in large numbers and proving to be very skilled. They have even committed devilish acts such as sneaking up on a Player, grabbing them from behind, and taking him down with it as they fell off the Nether Fortress.
It is revealed in Annoying Villagers 58 that piglins require a special potion in order to survive and maintain their piglin forms outside of their home dimension, else, they will become zombified piglins,
While piglins and hoglins are natural enemies usually, the hoglins shown are likely from bastion remnants, specifically the hoglin stables where they are bred by piglins, most likely to act like tamed wolves and aid them in battle.
