Post 1.14 Villagers, also known as the "New Villagers", are considered to be a sub-species of the Pre 1.14 Villagers(also known as the "Old Villagers") introduced in what is equivalent to real-life Minecraft 1.14 Village and Pillage update, and is considered to be a culturally different population compared with Pre-1.14 Villagers.
Overview[]
The Post 1.14 Villagers are different from the Pre 1.14 Villagers in many ways. Their skin has a less pixelated and more refined texture compared with Pre 1.14 Villagers. Like their real-life in-game counterparts they wear various outfits depending on biomes they live in and professions they have, comparing to the traditional villager robes Pre 1.14 Villagers typically wear. Another point is that till now no Post 1.14 Villager are witnessed to speak English like Pre 1.14 Villagers. Instead they use a primitive language in which they use their nose to produce hums of different tones similar to in-game villager noises. Culturally, Post 1.14 Villagers seems to be technologically inferior to Pre 1.14 Villagers due to the short history of this sub-species, as they're not witnessed to have developing any leading-edge technologies and they use basic items in their lives. Most witnessed Post 1.14 Villagers live in small villages(comparing with the Villager Kingdom's advanced settlement network system) scattered in different biomes, though in AV41 a few Post 1.14 Villagers're witnessed to live migrating lives with no fixed settlements. Currently, no witnessed Post 1.14 Villagers are under the control of the Villager Kingdom, meaning they do not live under any apparent hierarchy system and do not worship the Villager King. Unlike the Pre 1.14 Villagers, the Post 1.14 Villagers are more open to player contacts and are more willing to give players a chance to coexist and live together with them. Known Pre-and-Post-1.14-Villager interactions are thought to be mostly negative, in which some of Pre 1.14 Villagers may have prejudice (one Villager Knight was seen commenting on a group of Post 1.14 Villagers thinking them to be naive and lack of vigilance to the players) against Post 1.14 Villagers, moreover the Villager Kingdom have executed invading actions against Post 1.14 Villages siding with players, which in turn made the latter feel estranged from and threatened by the former. Post 1.14 Villagers, though, are seen to have willingly accepted at least one Pre 1.14 Villager invader individual as one of them after the latter decided to surrender and join the former (as a part of the Alliance).
Biography[]
The Post 1.14 Villagers first appear. A Fisherman Villager, a Villager Cartographer, and strangely enough, a Butcher Illager are seen standing together. The Cartographer is then seen trying to trade with a "weird" green haired player. They are then approached by two players, one of which pulls out a block of TNT.
Another group of Post 1.14 Villagers appear, consisting of posibly the same Fisherman Villager, a Savannah Cleric, a Tundra Cartographer, a Savannah Librarian, and an Armorsmith, with the Alliance, while Chris gives a speech about the goals of the Alliance. The "weird" green haired player can also be seen, along with Sir Iron Nose and Green.
The Same group of Post 1.14 Villagers are seen, still listening to Chris's speach.
After a large battle between the Alliance and the Pre 1.14 Villagers, the same group of Post 1.14 Villagers from Annoying Villagers 49, minus the Librarian, can be seen. The Armorsmith can be seen securing a specific Red Villager Knight in place.
