Annoying Villagers Wiki has definitely come a long way in terms of growth. In terms of how active our Wiki is and how it is developing; It’s falling rapidly. Currently only me and PaoPoaPlant (Plus edits from Fandom Users, good on y’all) have been editing a lot, though I admit I haven’t been consistent in the past times. This Blog Post is to discuss the terms and stages our Wiki must take to improve and improve our pages and how the Wiki is built.
First, off - this Wiki is now nearing 400 pages! I would like to thank everyone for their contributions to this Wiki, and especially those who put a lot of effort and edits. I really want to make so much big edits and CATEGORISE so many pages but then again, there are so many.
Now, moving forwards, we definitely NEED MORE active users. My proposed plan for this is for Mrfudge to advertise the Wiki more. Maybe on Social Media perhaps, such as Instagram and Twitter. Maybe Mrfudge or a Moderator on Discord should program a bot (Mee6 namely) to regularly advertise the Annoying Villagers Wiki. I shall put this forward on the poll sections, or we could try do both. In my spare time I shall Dm Mrfudge my thoughts.
Secondly, we need more professionally written pages. I define “professional” in the terms of context of writing in a number of different ways. So many pages are not detailed, messy and aren’t even filled out. Listed below will be my personal advice (in which I’ll also put in a seperate post) on how to write generally on Fandom : )
1.Make sure all your statements and writings are CONCRETE EVIDENCE and are not based of mere ASSUMPTIONS. I know many unregistered Fandom users contribute to the Wiki and try to help (very much appreciated) but often they are unnecessary or insignificant. This leads onto my second point of advice.
2.Make sure that what you add is relevant and don’t change things just because you think it’s better. I can’t put in any more simply than that. Just don’t keep changing pictures, don’t add loads of irrelevant text or just put things that you think are good.
3.Do not make opinionated and personified texts. What I mean by this, is to not make texts seem like they are written childishly or are written like they have their own opinion. Make sure that all sentences are “a matter of factly” and are brief and straight to the point. At the same time, make sure they give all the information a reader wants to know and all that is required. Don’t make it ambiguous, exaggerated and too much of an expression too.
4.Finally, please make sure your sentences are grammatically correct and punctuated properly and in the best way you can.
Thank you for reading this. It is a big chunk of text I know. But I feel like Mrfudge is way too underrated and he deserves my appreciation and the growth of our Wiki for young readers to old and everyone to be entertained plus find it enjoyable. Thanks again for all your contributions, and stay loyal to this Wiki.
