Zombies are a recurring mob race in Annoying Villagers series. Zombies usually spawn at night, or through mob spawners. Whilst most are vulnerable to daylight, they still appear in many episodes in the series and seem to gain immunity to daylight.
Overview[]
Appearance[]
Zombies are humanoid creatures with green skin and empty black eyes, their clothing include a turquoise t-shirt, indigo trousers, and grey shoes. They are often seen wearing many types of armor.
Behavior[]
Zombies do not have the intellect to communicate through the English Language. Instead, they use grunts. Though they are mostly stupid, they are always evolving to become more powerful.
They are weaker than Red Shirt Zombies and are vulnerable to daylight. Most of them are stupid and lack the ability of speech to communicate by the English Language. They are normally spawned during the night, and are led by Herobrine and The Red-Shirt Zombie.
They are a hostile species who require to prey on mostly species weaker than themselves. This may be reflected to being mainly carnivorous and rarely eat any plants. They wander around uninhabited areas in the dead of night. They are antagonists in the series. Despite being apparently modeled after common depictions of zombies (infected and reanimated human corpses only focusing on mindlessly searching for and devouring the living) in fiction works, unlike Zombie Villagers, zombies in the series are actually a sentient and completely self-aware species, although initially not as intelligent as other NPC mob species such as the villagers they are able to accumulate knowledge and skills and some zombie individuals can become extremely developed and powerful.
Zombies are also not created from infections (another point different from zombie villagers) despite their seeming resemblance to players: they only spawn in dark areas naturally or with the help of mob spawners though they actually do have the ability to infect villagers into zombie villagers. Some zombies were shown to be mostly non-hostile due to personal choices like Russel (who is passive) or the Pink Leather Zombie (who is neutral).
Lore[]
History[]
The Peaceful Times[]
The Zombies as a species first appeared along with other kinds of undead during the Peaceful Times. Their appearance spelt the end for the Peaceful Times and the Villager race. They would attack villages at nightfall without delay, killing the villagers, and eating and drinking their blood and flesh. A side effect to their hunting was that some of the villagers became zombified, creating a new race, the Zombie Villagers. Their onslaughts were so destructive that the villager race could not reproduce in sufficient numbers to counter the overfeeding, allowing the zombies to become the dominant species of the Overworld, until the villagers fought back with the help of their guardians, the Iron Golems. Soon, the zombies could no longer attack the villagers and became very weak. so they began to subsist on the next most common species, Horses (horse meat is disgusting compared to villagers), creating the Zombie Horses, while at the same time plotting their revenge on the villagers who were experiencing a new golden age of peace and prosperity.
Age of the Players[]
The zombies experienced a comeback as soon as the players entered the scene. Of course, zombies were a significant threat for most noobs, but for more powerful players who made up the majority, they were seen as little more than vermin and were given little attention. However the zombies did benefit as scavengers, for the players would rule by day, and as soon they had raided a village, killed its resident Iron Golems, burnt its houses, and left its inhabitants with no shelter, the zombies would strike by night, killing any survivor and taking any leftovers. The villagers were now on the brink of extinction.
Villager Revolution[]
With the appearance of the mysterious Villager King, and the newly returned Council of Animals, the zombies began to weaken, however they were not defeated, for they would kill anyone they found alone, and sometimes group into large hordes and attack small towns and villages. Many zombies also join the emerging forces of Herobrine. These zombies would then be trained intensely to be troops of his ever-growing armies.
Alliance with the Illagers[]
Some rogue zombies forged an alliance with the new Illager Forces against the Villagers since the new update and was considered to balance war of the Villagers and the Illagers.
Annoying Villagers[]
Attacking a Village[]
The Zombies were seen attacking a village in a large horde, seeking to loot the potato harvest. They were first threatened by the Librarian Villager but managed to defeat him and continued the raiding of the village, However they could not find any potatoes by sunrise, and were forced to retreat to a nearby cave.
The Dance Battle[]
The Annoying Villagers (Boop, Green, The Grumpy, and Boop's cat faced the Zombies (led by Lollipop Zombie) at a cave near Potato Fields, Where Green wagered a Dance Battle, and the zombies accepted. By the end the Annoying Villagers were winning but they are interrupted when a derpy player with potatoes entered the cave and ruined the Dance Battle. Soon both sides realized that MrFudgeMonkeyz was the one who had the potatoes in the first place, and agreed to have a temporary truce, and decided to split the rewards, after catching and killing MrFudgeMonkeyz, upon which the combined Villager-Zombie group proceeds to chase after a terrified and outnumbered MrFudgeMonkeyz.
The Chase[]
The combined force of the Villagers and the Zombies (only Headband Zombie, Pink-Shirted Zombie, and Umbrella Zombie remain the rest get lost along the way) chased MrFudgeMonkeyz through the forest. MrFudgeMonkeyz managed to hide for a while but he was eventually found by the Villagers. He escaped, but the chase continued and the Zombies got separated along the way one by one until they were no longer in the chase, and ended up playing cards instead.
The End of the Truce[]
While the zombies were playing cards, the Witch gave them a message that told them to kill the Villagers, else he'd kill them. They are tricked this, and decided to do what the message said.
The zombies were ordered to kill the villagers, but were stopped by Steve. The Headband zombie, realizing the skills Steve has, hid, while the other two continued fighting, but in the end, all three were taken out.
The Witch's Minions[]
The witch, who had attempted to kill Steve and the villagers himself, spawned a group of zombies, along with a few skeletons, to take out Steve and the villagers. In the end though, only a few zombies survived, along with a revived Headband and Pink-Shirted zombie.
The Attempt[]
The Headband zombie, Pink-Shirted zombie, and one of the zombies that the witch spawned, the Pink Leather Armor Zombie, plotted to kill Boop and MrFudgeMonkeyz, who had a battle with Herobrine alongside Steve. The zombies attacked during the night but were forced to a dance battle. During the dance, some zombies were knocked out, losing the dance.
Later, the zombie trio are seen watching Boop and MrFudgeMonkeyz following Charlie through the forest. As they plan what to do, they are approached by the witch, who recruits them, and threatens to eat their butts if they do not give her room to watch. This frightens one zombie, who runs away to save its butt. As the remaining zombies continue planning, they watch the witch making random motions out of confusion and stress on what to do. The zombies are finally ordered to follow their targets.
